Home / The bin
Built around one material.
Plasterboard is heavy, awkward and ruined by rain. So the bin loads from the side at waist height, closes up completely, and tips out clean.

The drawing

Every side of it

Panels down and latched. The roof and panels keep the weather off the load between drops.

Both top-hinged panels up. Sheets go in through the openings, which start about a metre off the ground.

The A-frame and hook a hook-lift truck uses to drag the bin on and off.

A full-width, full-height solid door with a latch. The load tips out here.

Every internal surface is sheeted smooth, so board doesn’t snag on ribs or beams when the bin is tipped.

Each panel hangs from a top hinge and is held open by a gas strut.
Specifications
From the fabrication drawings. The bin is built to suit the hook-lift trucks we already run. Hook height and rail width are matched to the truck before fabrication.
